Hi, First name / friend

This past month we've been working a lot in the studio, building new pottery storage racks, planting seeds for the summer gardens, and generally just really enjoying being outside in the new warmer spring temps.

The youngest Johnston paid a visit a few days ago to blow bubbles on the patio and build a jail for some robbers. The jail was very secure (only the highest quality of building materials were used - scrap wood and firewood kindling) and the robbers (mostly small pebbles) were clearly up to no good.

Barley-dog took advantage of the weather and took a few dips in the muddy, shallow stream. He was equally filthy and filled with joy. We all enjoyed the sunshine and a casual afternoon outside.

All in all, everyone is loving this weather and looking forward to the summer months ahead.

We're getting ready to fire another kiln next week. New completed pots will be added to the website very soon! There are a few new products in there and a lot of items that will get restocked. Stay tuned for that announcement.

The latest post (Seedlings + Farming History) is especially fun. It talks about our 2021 garden plans and highlights when we worked as organic vegetable farmers in the late 1970s and early 80s. 

The Brewery Bats post was most notably about the bats that live in our subterranean caverns and White Nose Syndrome. But there are definitely some other little gems from the days of yesteryear tossed into the mix too. Please enjoy!

The Building a Storage Rack & Work-Table post is pretty self explanatory. We built an organizational storage rack! And a work-table! Lots of pictures and some cool "found animal treasure" included for your viewing pleasure.
