Hi friend,
I'm still too tired to be excited about it, exactly, but I'm relieved to announce that I now have a CPAP and am in the process of getting used to it.
That's been a bit of an exercise in humility. Given how desperate I've been for relief, I thought I'd Win At CPAP and immediately, through sheer force of will and good preparation, start getting restful sleep.
That has not happened, and I'm having to go through the same adjustment process everyone does. One night the mask will be slightly too loose, and I'll have weird farting sounds happening all night as air leaks through the sides. Another night it'll be too tight and I'll wake up with my face chafed, red and sore.
It's just a process that has to happen. I don't know how much longer it will take, but I look forward to opening my books to clients again.
Over on Instagram, I'm also hosting Brag Week. I'm going into more detail about what's been going on in my life and how I'm proud of surviving it, and encouraging everyone to brag about themselves in the comments. Come join us!
You'll notice a few changes to the newsletter; I'm playing with some ways to make it more fun and useful.
And finally, this week's piece is far too long to include here, so I'm just linking to it. I originally wrote this for the website Fat Girl Reviews, but that site has vanished, so I created a post on my own site to preserve the knowledge.
