quilting Around the Block, Week 38 New York

Welcome to Week 38 New York

The method makes 4 blocks, add the applique to one of them and use the other three as filler blocks. Use the gentle curved cuts to utilize new decorative stitches.

(practice on scrap fabric first then on your blocks)

After adding the fusible to the back/wrong side of all 4 background colors - make your two cuts. Draw lines with an erasable marker if you prefer, or just take your rotary cutter and give it a whirl! I used clips to hold the 4 layers.

Select a colorway that blends with the other fabric choices you made with the previous blocks. Even though New York isn't technically in New England I was going for a 4 seasons vibe with the background colors/fabrics.
