This week has made me realize that while I am ready for life to get started again, I am also not ready at all. Because, yes, please bring on the new projects, the family gatherings, the excursions and the errands - but please also let me temper it with rest, and quiet, and alone time.
I don't know about you, but in the before times, I needed like a 70/30 ratio of being around people to total rest and recover. Now? It's like 40/60. Give me fun BUT ALSO GIVE ME SOFA.
So for the next few days, If you need me I'll be wrapped in a light blanket and enjoying a glass of iced tea and a new book in total and complete quiet before the next round of interaction.
Beach-y, weathered finishes on the mind this week, with a design for a nice little mid-century exterior. I started with square channel siding ran vertically, painted a soft with and complimented with a sandy colored brick. Weathered wood accents add warmth and are balanced by modern metal finishes. Then a bright pop of coral on the door and in some accent pillows on the patio furniture tie it all together. Relaxed, classic, and fun.
