During the cooler months our skin is more prone to becoming dry and flaky, thanks to windy weather and indoor heating. Dehydrated skin isn’t pretty. You’ll notice that your face feels tight, looks dull, gets oily quickly and fine lines are more visible. Other common symptoms include redness, congestion and an increased sensitivity to products. Here are our tips on how to keep your skin plump and hydrated coming into the cooler months:
• Avoid over exfoliating by limiting this step to once per week.
• Consume Fish Oils and EFAS to nourish from within
• Products containing Vitamin B and Hyaluronic Acid will be your best friend during the cooler months. Our picks? Extreme B17 and Hydrating Serum from Aspect Skin and Surge from Cosmedix.
• Avoid washing your face with hot water, luke warm is best.
• Add in an oil to your skincare regime to help nourish and plump. Our faves are Remedy from Cosmedix and Red-Less 21 from Aspect as they will keep your skin nourished and glowing without feeling too heavy or greasy on the skin.
• Switch over your cleanser to something more hydrating and gentle such as Purity Solution from Cosmedix and Gentle Clean from Aspect.
