Hello, friends!

We're finally putting the finishing touches on Emerald as a standalone pattern and it's almost ready to launch!

We had such a great response to this pattern after it debuted as a dress project in the Desert issue of Making Magazine two years ago.

The new standalone PDF pattern will be available in our expanded size range with both a dress and top view, and an optional sash. We are also adding layers to the pattern pieces, which will come in both print at home and copyshop formats.

I love the simplicity of this pattern: it’s made up of four main bias-cut panels finished with wide facings at the neck, arms, and hems, with inseam pockets for the dress version.

The dramatic curved hem, wide facings, and the center seams all add unique details to this design.

If you want to get ready for this pattern, I've posted fabric requirements, finished measurement charts, and some fabric suggestions over on my website!

You can also see more photos in that post, including photos of the cropped top version.

I really hope you love this one as much as I do. Stay tuned – I'll be sending you another email when this pattern drops, along with a special launch discount for you!

- Rae
