Hello, friends!

The long-awaited Emerald PDF pattern is here! I'm beyond thrilled to announce that this sewing pattern is now available in our extended size range with both dress and top views, and an optional sash. Our extended size range includes eleven sizes (xxs-xl & plus sizes 1-5).

One new and exciting feature is that with this pattern we've included layers to all of the pattern piece files, which come in print-at-home and two copyshop formats.

To celebrate this pattern launch, take 25% off ALL PDF patterns in my shop!!

Emerald comes with two length options, top and dress. The garment is composed of four main panels and is finished with facings, which highlight the elegant V-shaped neckline and curved hem. Pockets or a sash can be added to the dress version (optional).

For maximum comfort and wearability, choose lightweight or medium-weight fabrics with drape to allow the bias-cut design to conform to your body. The center seam allows for some fun pattern play if you use striped or patterned fabric, or becomes a beautiful design feature on a simple solid fabric

It's been a long time getting this pattern out into the world. I started developing the first Emerald pattern pieces in fall of 2017, but I set it aside for other projects until the fall of 2018 when we developed it for the Making magazine Desert issue. Then, other pattern updates (Luna! Trillium!) took center stage, and of course, the pandemic, which forced me to reconfigure both my business and how I work. I'm grateful to all of you who expressed so much enthusiasm for this design when it debuted in Making a couple of years ago, and to those of you who kept asking for it as a standalone PDF pattern, and mostly, for your patience, as it took much longer than anyone expected.

Without your continued interest and encouragement, this pattern would not have happened. As always, your support means the world to me, and I hope you love this design as much as I do.

Happy sewing!

Rae

PS. As many of you know, I love getting creative and making modifications to my patterns (and I LOVE seeing your creative mods too!). I promised myself I'd wait until we launched Emerald before I posted this Emerald maxi mod aka the Poolside Dress of my Dreams, but here's a special sneak peek for you…I can't wait to share more of the details and the how-to soon!!!
