Congratulations to our Speech and Debate Team! They competed in the district tournament, which is the final competition before Nationals. It is the most important competition for our league and the National Speech and Debate Tournament is the largest academic competition in the country. The following students placed at the top of their events and earned bids to Nationals! This is a MAJOR accomplishment and we are so happy for them! Afsaneh made this statement about her experience:

“I have been in choir since sophomore year and it has been a really great experience for me. I have enjoyed getting to perform and sing with my friends. This year I even got the opportunity to sing in the All-State choir. The practice was done virtually and we each recorded our parts individually. I learned so much about singing techniques and performing, and I am super grateful that I got to participate this year. Choir has taught me so much about music and singing and I will never forget all the great memories.”

Edit from the 2020-2021 first semester Student Spotlight:

Jillian Bielke was also one of the students accepted into Honor Choir.
