We would like to congratulate all of our spring sports teams for their hard work, positive attitudes, and honorable sportsmanship this year. We are so proud of these athletes!
Some of the teams we would like to recognize include the regional championship wins for Volleyball, Girls Golf, and Boys Tennis.
Congratulations also go out to Girls Lacrosse, Girls Tennis, and Baseball for their very close second places.
The following senior athletes have committed to play for their chosen colleges and universities.
On May 25, Amy Van Gelder signed to play soccer for Westminster College, and Jordyn Jensen signed to play basketball at Hawaii Pacific University.
Frederic Tavernier committed to play football at Cornell College, Nico Hofheins committed to play lacrosse for Dallas University, and Cort Ballinger committed to play football for the Air Force Academy.
The following students were recognized as some of Northern Nevada's top baseball players. The Miners finished second in the region!
Seth McGrath, Logan Pruski, and Drew Scolari were selected as “First Team All League” for Northern Nevada 5A Baseball.
Cody Glenn and Aidan Long were selected as “Second Team All League” for Northern Nevada 5A Baseball.
Luke Metzger and Cal Scolari were named “Honorable Mention” players, and Same Kane was selected “Reliever of the Year.”
