Finally, the rulebook is ready enough to share with you. The 1st round of proofreading is done, huge thanks to James Hoult who helped me with that and had very good suggestions. Solo mode should always be very smooth and challenging. To create a great one is also a big challenge. I had some consultations with David Turczi, and after that, the Kicktester team helped me to finalize the basic concept. Now it’s ready to publicly test it and resolve the remaining balancing issues (if there are any). That is what I also like on Kickstarter too. I just don’t have a product to sell. Absolutely not. The community around it and how people together can shape the product and the campaign is awesome. I remember the Nemesis campaign, it was just an amazing experience. I know that feeling as a backer so I also would like to create something similar and involve you as much as I can. Now I just would like to see whether there is any preferred youtube reviewer, who should make a preview / review / playthrough video.  Please if you favor any of them, tell me in this survey. Also, I’m trying to figure out the proper pledge levels so I have 1 question regarding that too. |

First of all, I will make a basic overview video about the game soon. But before that it’s important to clarify what type of game it is. As you probably already know, it is an epic fantasy strategic game. But also important to mention that the game is a hybrid game meaning it is an euro and ameri mix. In mechanics and feeling too. It has very strict resource management and optimization. You will have limited gold and mana to move your Hero and the Lost Souls and take actions. You need to calculate a lot. There are high direct or indirect interactions among the players, but there is not so much luck. Most information that can influence your decisions is public.  The battle is ….hm I would compare it to the Scythe feeling. Sometimes it can be important and can give you a nice benefit but usually, it is just in the air. And of course, it really depends on the clan what you play (warrior favors battle, the engineer doesn’t). So besides resource management and optimization other mechanics like territory control, skill path development, time limit also can be found in the game. |

Two other things should be mentioned: First, the common Lost Souls. They are common figures so all players can move them. This is a kind of indirect interaction between the players, because it really matters where you leave them at the end of your turn. |

The next thing is the most unique one: the Shadow mode, with its special semi-coop feeling. In this mode the Shadow player’s goal is to prevent the other players from reaching Dimara. It’s like a 3 vs. 1 but it’s still a competitive game, cause only 1 player can win at the end. So clan players definitely should cooperate and make sacrifices together but actually can’t trust each other fully. And the Shadow player can use it;)  |

There are many things in progress: I contacted many manufacturers so I received quotes. Based on it I can figure out the best pledge levels and stretch goals for the campaign. Besides that I just finalize the files for the physical prototypes, so soon I can produce them - they will be sent to YouTube reviewers. Solo testing is also in progress. The Kickstarter page design has also started. Once it’s ready enough to share it, I will publish it so you can give me feedback about that too. I hope it can happen in the near future;) |
