Day 15: try a new recipe!

Do you ever feel like things are getting a bit boring in the kitchen? Do you find yourself often eating the same things? Have you reached a plateau in your health and are looking to take things to the next level? It just might be time to shake things up. Today we are challenging you to try a new recipe…..and since this is a wellness challenge, let’s make it a healthy choice!

When it comes to building a healthy plate think high quality ingredients, packed with nutrients, in a variety of colours! Your body likes REAL foods, and will thank you for limiting the amount of sugars + refined carbohydrates you're eating. 

 

Fill your plate with veggies/fruit, make it as colourful as possible, include high quality proteins, healthy fats, and whole grain options.

Getting your home stocked with healthy ingredients will always set you up for success! Here is a list of clean foods to give you some ideas. 

 

Some quick tips:

 - Buy organic as much as possible - especially when it comes to “dirty dozen” produce, meats, dairy, and grain products. 

 - Stock up on items you use regularly so you don't have to worry about running out

 - Mix it up! Try not to get into the habit of eating the same meals all the time. Your body likes a variety!
