Day 17: oil pulling!

Warning: this is probably one of the strangest things you’ll do in this challenge! It definitely takes more than one attempt to get used to so don’t give up on it after today. Let's talk about oil pulling!

Oil pulling can help to reduce bacteria, reduce dental plaque, remineralize teeth, help strengthen + support healthy gums. Add a drop of Peppermint or OnGuard essential oil if you have them!

 

Follow the steps below:

1. Upon waking, scrape your tongue. Do your oil pulling immediately after before water, food, brushing or anything else.

2. Put 1⁄2 - 1 tbsp of oil in your mouth. Cold Pressed Sesame or Coconut are good choices.

3. Floss it through your teeth - pulling it in and out of your teeth for between 5-20 min. As you swish - you’re pulling toxins out of your mouth so the longer the better!

4. Spit it out (in the garbage - not the drain) and scrape tongue once more.
