Hi friends!

Finally, I got to feel that summer break has officially started as we enjoyed the first full weekend without any due homework or assessments to prepare for. I feel like the Universe created new hours, wrapped them up, and offered them in a shiny box for me. I am grateful for the gift of time. I slept more, played with my kids more, and happily got overdue chores done. Please note the word “happily”.

Maybe not all summer weekends will feel as blissful. I am just taking the time, here is that word again, to honor the freedom to create our own schedules for the coming weeks. I'm also starting a new gratitude journal this week, I love the possibilities of moments that will be written there.

Let’s make the best of this gift.

Here is your weekly dose of The Sunday Spark a newsletter listing 5 inspiring things I thought were worth starting your week with:

  1. "Music is universally impactful. It can help wake us up, take us back in time, make us cry, ignite our bodies to move, or motivate us to think positively about our crushing our goals" I agree with this so here are 75 theme songs to play during your weekly or monthly planning sessions.
  2. Jon Acuff is a favorite author of mine and I personally tried his challenges before, they are very rich and informative. Join his free Beyond Perfect Challenge starting tomorrow June 14th where he will go live for 6 days to teach us how to finish our goals when perfectionism tries to prevent us from even starting.
  3. From my desk: “Is it even OK to keep living normally now after this happened?”
  4. I discovered many books and fell in love with so many quotes on Brain Pickings by Maria Popova. I feel smarter just checking her website.
  5. A quote to remind you to make meaning of what happens in your life:

"It’s time you understand that the world is telling you something with each and every failure and action. It’s feedback—giving you precise instructions on how to improve, it’s trying to wake you up from your cluelessness. It’s trying to teach you something. Listen."

― Ryan Holiday, The Obstacle Is the Way
