In this week’s #CreateWithCatCoq art challenge we’re going back to basics. You don’t even need any special supplies for this one. 

This week’s art challenge is to create a piece featuring hand lettering! Hand-lettered artwork is on-trend, and it’s a great skill to learn if you’re looking to sell your artwork online. In fact, many of my top selling pieces feature hand-lettered quotes.

And the best part? You can create hand-lettered artwork using whatever supplies or medium you like best! All you need to create beautiful hand lettering is something to draw with, something to draw on, and your imagination! 

I want you to make this week’s challenge your own. This challenge is for you no matter where you are on your art journey.

Out of art supplies or don’t have any yet? No problem! Create your lettering with any pen and paper you have lying around the house. Love doodling quotes in Procreate? Amazing! I can’t wait to see what you make! More of a paintbrush and ink person? Go for it! The sky is the limit with this challenge!  

One of my favorite ways to create hand-lettered pieces is with brush pens like these. I also love playing with actual paint brushes and India Ink.
