Blueberries & Bourbon

Summers in Kentucky are hot, humid yet enchanting. This summer I have decided to rediscover its cuisine. My first stop was Lexington, the heart of the Bluegrass and where I went to college. It is also the first city I drove to when I got my drivers license. It's only 30 miles from where I grew up but it seemed a world away.

My itinerary included stops at Kentucky's most celebrated chef's restaurants. My best friend was my companion on this culinary adventure. We ate at Windy Corner, Wallace Station and Midway Bakery.
