Hi friends!

How are you feeling today? Did you sleep well last night? Have you had a proper meal yet? Have you reviewed the past week and set your top 3 priorities for the week ahead? If your day is not going so well,  I am asking you to decide to restart the day right this minute. We need your magic.

Because I am still in the quarterly-birthday-mid-year reflection/summer/fun/family mode, I decided to take July off. I still go to work, mind you, however, many of my routines are now on hold. I have downsized my morning routine to 15-min meditation, my kids’ one-sentence journal and gratitude journal only. Anything more is a bonus. I am waking up 6 or 7 AM, not 5 AM to get enough sleep to compensate for the late night outs that we are finally enjoying again. I took a break from writing daily on my blog and posting regularly on Instagram, and also from my strict digital rules.

Other than the very surprising birthday party that my husband put together for me last week 😍 the highlight of my week was the support I received from Instagram friends when I asked them to recommend my work to others and help me reach 10K followers soon. Thank you so much for responding and showing me that you do want to help, we have less than 2.5K to go! A big thank you to Muna for starting this movement.

A snapshot of my birthday. This book was the earliest gift I received.

Here is your weekly dose of The Sunday Spark a newsletter listing 5 inspiring things I thought were worth starting your week with:

  1. Happy Birthday to my #1 mentor Seth Godin who celebrated 61st his Birthday yesterday. He just announced a 30-min course on LinkedIn titled:Creativity at Work. Watch and learn my dear ones.
  2. Brené Brown and her 2 sisters are discussing her amazing book The Gifts of Imperfection in her podcast. She already published 3 parts out of 6. Listen in!
  3. I know you love personality assessments like me, so here is the Wholehearted assessment which Brené created for her book readers. Do it before you read the book or if you read it a while ago. My results show I need to work more on letting go of being "Always in Control". Ahem!
  4. I created these videos based on Brené's work: (Asking for Help & Perfectionism, Joy & Feeling Enough, Empathy Series, Numbing Hard feelings) Enjoy and also (appreciate) how far I've come in making videos 😌.
  5. A quote to remind you that not every one has earned the right to hear your story, share mindfully:

"When we’re looking for compassion, we need someone who is deeply rooted, able to bend, and, most of all, we need someone who embraces us for our strengths and struggles. We need to honor our struggle by sharing it with someone who has earned the right to hear it. When we’re looking for compassion, it’s about connecting with the right person at the right time about the right issue."

― Brené Brown, The Gifts of Imperfection
