Dear friends,

In case you didn't notice, making tutorials for new ways to sew my patterns is totally my jam – but, newsflash: it takes a ton of time. With my kids at home during this pandemic, I haven't had time for much of anything, but with Hugo in a few half-day camps this summer, I've finally been able both to look for someone to help me write tutorials, and to work on them myself. So…I have TWO new tutorials to share with you today!

The first is a guest tutorial on how to make the Luna pattern into shorts, and the second one is a tutorial on how to add a long sleeve to the Trillium pattern, which includes a free pattern piece.

Guest collaborator Cristy Stuhldreher of Love You Sew created this fantastic tutorial which is absolutely perfect for summer: How to turn the Luna pants pattern into shorts. She even threw in a bonus tutorial to show you how to add the drawstring ties as well.

When Cristy posted her Luna shorts online last summer and mentioned she was taking photographs to document the steps, I knew she would be the perfect person to ask to do a guest post on this. I'm guessing some of you would love to turn your Luna pattern into a shorts pattern to beat the heat!

tutorial: add a long sleeve to trillium

Updating the Trillium Expansion Pack just hasn't been in the cards for me this year, and I know many of you have been waiting patiently for a long sleeve for Trillium. So I decided to release a FREE multi-sized sleeve pattern piece and I put together a tutorial to show you how to attach it.

You can get the instructions AND sign up to have the free pattern piece delivered to your inbox, all in this post:
