I want to know, what have you been up to this summer?! What books are you reading? Have you taken any trips, geographically or otherwise? 🍄🍄🍄
No, I really wanna know!
Hit reply, send me your reading list, and I’ll send you mine!
What with all the eclipses and retrogrades that happened at the beginning of summer, the last couple weeks should have felt a little bit smoother, if not altogether lighter. We’ve been rebuilding, even though Cancer season isn’t always kind to us all (and I’m not surprised that there’s been some tears). This week the sun moved into Leo and will finish out its time in Gate 56—The Gate of Stimulation, also known as the Wanderer. We have been feeling this energy as a push to go our own way, to let our inner truth be the guide and find liberation on our own path.
Tomorrow’s Full Buck Moon in Aquarius peaking at 7:36pm PST, will amplify this energy and certain transits will create a bind of tension that might have some of us really ready to smash the mold into a million pieces. The moon in Aquarius seeks emotional freedom, change and revolution. In the modern interpretation, Aquarius is ruled by unpredictable Uranus, but in ancient astrology it was daddy Saturn who ruled this sign. Aquarius seeks change but not without cause. This energy is best expressed when in opposition to outdated rules or limitations. It loves to buck up against authority and express itself regardless of judgement.
Speaking of bucks, this moon is called the Buck Moon in North American folklore due to this being the time of year that the antlers on male deer lose their softness and come to maturity. A fitting analogy as it could feel like we’re going through some emotional growing pains right now. The current aspects between the moon, Sun, Venus and Jupiter create a knot of tension between love and finances, our desire for success and expansion in life, and the temptation of distraction and laziness.
Overall, you may be feeling like you need to take some space to be alone and process your feelings. You may be feeling over-socialized, or feeling the need to break out of a box that others have put you in. Maybe you feel a need to establish something separate and for yourself. There is a sense of charged energy around the differences between you and your family, partner or close friends. Jupiter’s influence could have you wanting to learn more or come up with alternative possibilities to relieve some of this tension. But focusing on rest and some time to recharge will serve you further. The answers are coming.
Okay fine, but then what do I do with all this energy now?!
I know, darlin, I feel the same way lately. As a yang sign, Leo fills us with that sunny, potent and externalized energy of action. Combine that with the internal need to break the emotional chains from the moon in Aquarius and you’ve got a recipe for conflict or radical change. This is a great opportunity to practice your strategy to create the changes that will serve you in the long run.
So, if you’re a Generator: are you allowing yourself some space to let things come into your field so that you can respond to them? Give yourself some time away from the “do, do, do” in order to receive!
Manifesting Generators: remember to take the time to visualize your ideas and inform others before jumping on the next one. That way you can respond to what comes into your field from putting your ideas out there, and really hone your expression.
Projectors: if the invitation isn’t there, it isn’t for you, but that doesn’t apply to your own space. Focus on how you want to show up for yourself before others. Get clear about what you want so that you can recognize the correct invitation when it does come and not waste your time with others.
Manifestors: inform, baby! You want something, you’ve got to be able to communicate about it. Tell others where your boundaries lie, what your expectations are, and make sure you’re also hearing what others are saying about theirs. You’ve got this action thing in the bag, but make sure you’re not leaving a trail of ashes behind you.
Reflectors: find your neutral. If you can, this weekend would be a great time for you to go out in nature for a few days. Really clear out any extra conditioning and then see what this transit holds for you in your design. What do you desire to express? We want to hear it.
In all of this, there is so much growth happening. All of those moons spent shedding old belief systems, realigning with your values, have all contributed to this growth. And it’s not always comfortable, sometimes it’s even painful. Sometimes we have to make choices that certain people or relationships no longer serve us. Sometimes, it’s a relationship to values and habits that no longer align with where we want to go. This a moment to get out on that floor to the song that no one wants to admit they like and claim a space for yourself.
