QUALITY DEVICE Use the best possible audio & video device that you have available (ONE device). The audio should be clear and high quality, without any feedback or extra noises.
For the video we want to see your instrument and face. Again, aim for a device with the highest possible quality.
01
Please listen to your recording before you submit it. We cannot use files if they clip, (i.e, if it is too loud your sound will be distorted. In this case, you need to adjust the distance to your microphone!)
LINE IT UP SYNC CLAP Like a clapboard on a movie set, this clap helps the video editors sync the completed audio tracks with your videos, so your movements match the sound you're making.
Instructions:
1. Clap just once
2. Loud!
3. Visible on the screen (we should see the impact!)
02
If you happen to play an instrument where it’s difficult to take both hands and clap in the time you’re given, find another way to approximate a single, loud, percussive sound. Some people slap their instrument/legs or stomp with a foot.
GUIDANCE CLICK TRACK
Use headphones so only you can hear the click track. Your playing should be the only audible sound in your recording, nothing else!
