One cannot spend too much time reflecting on life. Everything around us conspires to keep us occupied and preoccupied. How often have I heard someone say, “I just didn’t have time.”
And, while true sometimes, the reason given is more often an excuse for what I didn’t want to do in the first place. A life well lived demands times of reflection, reorientation and rededication. More so for a Christian.
“Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil.” (Ephesians 5:15-16)
Paul admonishes us with three very simple challenges:
- Review your lifestyle
- Watch for the opportunities
- Don't let evil catch you off-guard
Applications:
Your life can make a difference for the Gospel, but it has to be qualitatively different!
If you are willing to review your lifestyle, tomorrow, indeed everyday, can be progressively different!
