Hi friends!

If you are on my social media, you would already know how excited I am about today. I got so excited that I sent a voice note to my favorite local Arabic radio station. Listen here.

It is the only Sunday in 2021 that also happens to be the beginning of a new month. This is very thrilling news for us humans according to studies. We love to start something on special days. It feels good to commit at the beginning of a new week, also the start of a new month, but when they coincide? The mix is magical, or it just me?

Use the power of beginnings. It’s time you printed a brand-new sheet of your habit tracker and added the habits you want to track. Perfect habit chains are calling 😁, no pressure, though.

As every Sunday, this is your kind reminder to do your weekly preview, and speaking of weekly previews, did you know that they are a key element in Getting Things Done methodology?

GTD is the topic of today’s Instagram Live with the personal productivity blogger & GTD master Khaled Alkhalaf. We will talk about it and this amazing productivity book that was the first I ever read on the topic. It helped me manage my paperwork overwhelm and get better organized.

Here is your weekly dose of The Sunday Spark a newsletter listing 5 inspiring things I thought were worth starting your week with:

  1. Get familiar with GTD methodology here.
  2. My guest Khaled has a new podcast and this 5-minute episode is a must-listen to overcome our monkey brain.
  3. I agree with this: If you are not doing your weekly review, you are not doing GTD.
  4. From my desk: What does a good day look like?  I wrote this in 2015, all of it still applies, the difference is I got most of these transformed into rituals!
  5. A favorite productivity quote from David Allen, the author of GTD:

"If you don't pay appropriate attention to what has your attention, it will take more of your attention than it deserves."

― David Allen
