After A few uses the wood will start to loose it's luster and dull over time from washing. This is a natural process, so don’t worry. In order to keep the bowl in it's best shape, you don't need to soap on these pieces unless they were used with animal products.

  When pieces do start to dull, I recommend using food grade Beeswax Polish to condition them again. I love to use this polish because It's safe, non-toxic, and easy to use. The smell is heavenly, soft sweet smelling and you can to use on any wood surface all over your house (including wood children's toys).
