Welcome to MOOD — where I share what I'm loving, reading, giving, eating, wearing and seeing. |

Making its debut in 1980, Pac Man was named by The Guinness Book of Records as “the most successful coin-operated game.” Though I am very good at Pac man, my real talent lies with Galaga. I dare you to challenge me. |

My pal Beth recommended that I follow Sharon McMahon (@sharonsaysso) — a self-described #governerd who curates facts in a fun and interesting way. Her posts cover current events, and since December 2020 she has sent out over 235 teacher grants of $500. I find Sharon pretty great to follow. |

I first saw this cute series of books at my favorite children's shop, Little Moony on Mulberry Street in NYC. Each book in the series profiles an icon — from Rosa Parks to Frida Kahlo. Even Fred Astaire gets a biographical timeline and a profile with fun facts paired with illustrations by Cachetejack. |

I am obsessed with my subscription to Mandy Oser’s Ardesia Wine Club. Once a month a box of wine is delivered to my front door, by Mandy herself no less. Each of the three bottles is unique and delicious. The themes are also super fun. In March, we had wines from female winemakers, and though I was skeptical about May’s theme, Volcanic Soils, I was proven quite wrong. There is a virtual wine tasting each month where Mandy herself leads you through a guided tasting. Each box includes food pairing notes, which for me, is essential. |

There are so many wonderful initiatives that have been created to help the people of Afghanistan. One way to directly support the farmers (who at this posting remain safe) is to purchase some of the Rumi Spice directly sourced from the fields in Herat. This photo was taken during the harvest I witnessed in 2015. |
