Let us pray for the Church

In the Western tradition, there's not a whole lot going on in September on the liturgical calendar (we're still solidly in the season after Pentecost - living, serving and loving in the time of the Church). However, the Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday following September 14 are (one of four sets of annual) Ember Days.

Ember Days are specifically set aside by the Church to pray for those in the process of ordination, but are also a perfect time to pray for the well-being and ministry of those leading your local church.
