What are you doing to condition your mind?
Think about this truth… athletes warm up their bodies before competition, so shouldn’t you warm up your mind and spirit before you begin your day? Instead of waking up and scrolling through social media or checking emails first thing in the morning, I’ve developed a system that will give you much more ROI (return on investment) than comparing yourself to others on Instagram or reading/watching negative news stories.
It’s all about sweat before screen. Get your physical and mental sweat on, before you stare at a device, screen, or TV.
This system is backed by good science, and it has without a doubt changed my life. It takes just four minutes. Let me teach it to you.
The HAW Method (4-Minute Mental Workout)
Before you go to bed or start each day, journal and/or reflect on these three things:
- Breathe (take slow deep breaths for one minute).
- I Have (focus on gratitude and what you are thankful for, for one minute).
- I Am (practice productive self-talk for one minute).
- I Will (set one intention or daily goal and visualize yourself executing that activity, as well as your big dreams for the future, for one minute).
This activity will elevate your self-image, improve your mood, invite ideas to find solutions, and create neural pathways for your brain and body to attract success.
When and where will you get your mental reps in with the HAW Method?
