For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you abstain from sexual immorality; that each one of you know how to control his own body in holiness and honor, not in the passion of lust like the Gentiles who do not know God; that no one transgress and wrong his brother in this matter, because the Lord is an avenger in all these things, as we told you beforehand and solemnly warned you. (2 Thessalonians 4:3-6)

God the Spirit is always calling us to sanctification and warning us away from impurity.

Maybe the most evident way that the Spirit does this is demonstrated in how we manage our bodies. The body, most seen in the mind, is the battle ground of obedience. The longer we walk obedient to the Spirit, the more we demonstrate victories over the tongue, the eyes, the hands, the ears, etc.

As I have I have concluded in my blog this week, the one who belongs to God is self-evident. There is a growing receptivity to the Spirit’s warning away from impurity, as most seen in how we manage all of the instruments of our bodies, towards holiness!
