We believe in creating a space of compassion and safety to travel alongside each of our clients in their journey to mental health wellness.

Amy

Amy Stenger-Sullivan (she/her/hers) is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor-Supervisor, trainer and CEO of Rooted Compassion Counseling and Consulting, LLC. As a Certified Trauma Responsive Counselor, Amy understands and applies knowledge of interpersonal neurobiology, Polyvagal Theory and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). 

As a somatic health expert, Amy provides compassionate, person-focused, and practical therapy to individuals experiencing grief, anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, and work-life balance challenges. Having twenty years of experience as a massage therapist and body worker uniquely positions Amy to understand and appreciate the body-mind connection. 

 

Little fun fact about Amy: She is the youngest of 10 kids!

Megan

Megan Kopack (she/her/hers) is a Licensed Professional Counselor experienced in treating Depression, Anxiety, Bipolar Disorder, Borderline Personality Disorder, and PTSD.

She recognizes all humans are unique and dynamic and aims to tailor treatment specific to each client. She creates a caring, open, judgment-free, and humor-infused space for her clients to explore and define their whole selves.

Through a combination of Mindfulness-Based practices, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Megan assists with the development of self-regulation, self-esteem, interpersonal skills, and healing. Megan understands our bodies and minds learn from our environments and experiences and assists with integrating these to improve daily functionality.

 

Little fun fact about Megan: She has 29 children, including one precious pup named Bella & 28 plants.

Julie

Julie Koloc is a Licensed Professional Counselor experienced in treating Trauma, Depression, Anxiety, and Panic Disorder.

Julie believes that each person holds a view of the world that has been shaped by unique experiences, interactions, and cultural influences. With a strengths-based, person-centered approach to counseling, Julie is guided by respect for and understanding of this principle. She supports others in recognizing their strengths and building the resilience necessary to manage challenges with greater ease.

Julie has specialized training in Trauma Responsive Care techniques and Emotional Freedom Technique. She has worked with individuals challenged by the effects of trauma, grief, divorce, anxiety, depression, and challenging life transitions. Julie feels honored to be a counselor and is here to offer a presence of non-judgment and acceptance.

 

Little fun fact about Julie: She has training in Shiatsu Bodywork Therapy.

Eric

 

Eric Stone (he/him/his) is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor III. As a trained Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) clinician, Eric works from a trauma-informed perspective. Eric is also trained as Gottman Couples Counselor and uses this method to enhance a couple's relationships and connections. He specializes in working with individuals/relationships in recovery from substance abuse or in addiction.

 Eric works from a client-centered perspective - with the understanding that clients are the expert of their own experience and an equal part of the therapeutic process. 

His style is caring, energetic and focused.

As a trauma expert, Eric provides compassionate, client-focused, and practical therapy to individuals/couples experiencing addiction, trauma, couples issues, grief, anxiety, depression, stress, and work-life balance challenges.

In sessions with Eric you can expect him to encourage you to make your own goals while honoring your own experience. This approach allows for healing and growth in key identified areas of the client's life. He works with individuals, couples, and family through telehealth sessions.

Brenda

 

Sometimes in life we may find ourselves in a “stuck” place, repeating the same unproductive patterns and losing our joy and hope. It is not easy to navigate some transitions and relationship difficulties. At these times, one of the best ways to handle life’s problems is to reach out for support. Brenda would love to join you in your growth process to address the challenges you or a loved one may be experiencing and to help you find the ways you want to move forward. She offers you the respect and acceptance you deserve, sharing her warmth and life experience, without judgment. Having lived 10+ years as an adult in Britain and Asia, Brenda has expertise working with those who are adjusting to cross-cultural living.

Brenda is passionate about working with women and issues they face in all seasons of life. She works from a mindfulness and strengths-based approach, centered on your goals, using the latest neuroscience to incorporate the mind/body connection in healing. She can provide you with tools and support as you work through common issues we all may face in life: depression, anxiety, transitions, relationship challenges, grief/loss, childhood trauma, aging gracefully, etc.

 

Little fun fact about Brenda: She loves to travel & explore to find new coffee shops & discover how they started.
