Hi friends!

I generally love personality tests so much. A dear friend shares this passion with me and told me: “If I had the time, I would spend it devouring them.”  I see personality types as great pointers to our tendencies and wonderful explainers of certain behavior patterns we exhibit, sometimes so true that it is almost a relief when we read the results.

I also believe that we can change and that, generally, personality assessments are a starting point, not set-in-stone limiting labels. My friend gave me a great advice to use when answering such tests, we need answer them as we are right now, not as we wish we were nor as we think people see us.

Friends, this is the most excited I’ve got about a personality test since I found about Enneagram. It’s called Sparktype Assessment and I’ve been raving about it to people around me, not just because it matches my newsletter name, but because of the huge effort that the author Jonathan Fields put into it.

As described in the website:

“Completed by more than 500,000 individuals and organizations, generating more than 25-million data points and a wealth of groundbreaking insights, this assessment is not just a tool for personal and professional discovery, it’s also one of the largest studies on meaning, purpose, flow, and engagement in the workplace.”

When you do the test you will receive a series of emails that beautifully explains your results. They are valuable and got me psyched up enough to pre-order the book that is launching this week.

Your results will uncover your primary Sparktype, your shadow type (that supports your primary type) and your anti-type which is the kind of activity that drains you the quickest.

Did this remind you of my posts about finding your passion? Johnathan says that  passion is how you externally express your Sparktype, passions could change but Sparktypes are a lot like your DNA. So yes, he thinks this assessment is a guide to enjoy you life’s work better but, he believes, our Sparktype stays pretty much the same.

I am super curious to know your Sparktype, First name / my friend after you do the assessment please hit reply to this email and share with me or via social media, if you do, I will tell you mine too.

My friends LOVED it.

Here is your weekly dose of The Sunday Spark đź’ˇ a newsletter listing 5 inspiring things I thought were worth starting your week with:

  1. A great podcast interview with Sparked author where he explains the 10 Sparktypes.
  2. I'm using the free version of The Next Big Idea App and enjoying their unique book bites: fresh book summaries read by the authors themselves.
  3. I also recommend The Next Big Idea podcast, I liked the recent episode titled The Deadline Effect
  4. I am still new at implementing Visualization as part of my morning routine, this article is really encouraging me to keep at it.
  5. A quote to remind you to cultivate awareness:

"We can't be intentional with our decisions and our actions if we are not aware of the impulses, the imprints, the circumstances that control us in ways that aren't even on a conscious level.."

― Jonathan Fields
