Hey,

Facebook started showing the first part of a post in my notifications. Now, I get to choose whether that post appeals to me or not without having to visit the post in the first place.

Having this feature pop up on my mobile reminded me of the importance of a great opening line.

But how do we do this? How do we make our content stand out?

We often create content from:
What would my audience want to hear today?
What am I going to share that is relevant?

Sometimes, it gets tough. Because we already have layers and layers of expertise and we're in a different place.

So, I shifted to:
What catches my attention?
How can I transfer that to the content I create for my audience?

Because we still have our own interests and places we hang out in. What makes those worthy of our time and attention?

And then, there's another piece to this: if people know you and they trust that you produce quality content, then, you don't have to worry about the opening line too much… or do you? What do you think?

Hugs,

Tini
