Sending samples is an incredible way to get your business and our products in front of new clients. Here are my must-have sample pack supplies, as well as the 3 tools I use to manage samples.
Did you know I generally send out 10-15 sample packs a month? My goal is always to sell $3000 PV, and sampling is a huge part of this! Sending samples is a time and monetary investment, and I want to be sure it results in sales! Samples may be my client's first introduction to Beautycounter, and I want them to be dazzled from the very first experience.
Here's what I include in a typical sample pack
- Regimen based on their skin type
- Charcoal Mask
- All bright C Serum
- Personal Note with my Beautycounter link at the bottom

- Holiday gift guide (optional, but great for this time of year)
Remember, 1 hour of planning can save you 10 hours of doing!
Tips to make sampling more efficient
- I send every person who wants samples a link to fill out a google form so I'm not chasing information. All my sample info is stored in one place!
- Package/label/ship samples once a week. I do this every Tuesday. This way, I'm not touching the same task multiple times a week.
- Pre-pack your sample envelopes. This is a great task to outsource to older kids. Once everything is in an envelope, I organize by skincare collection, and just grab and go on mailing day.
- Have a plan to follow up! When you ship with Pirate ship, you can see when a sample is delivered.
Samples WORK, but the fortune is in the follow up. Be sure to follow up with each prospect. If they don't respond, reach out again a few weeks later! Keep reaching out until you get a no. People are BUSY!!! No response doesn't mean no interest, it just means they have a life. Trust me!
