Hey First name / friend,

We have launched our Podcast, Meaningful Conversations with Stereotype Breakers! Learn more and listen to it here 🥰

This is very exciting as it's been a long time coming (since 2019 to be precise). What has been stopping us? I'll be honest with you, fear of failure and rejection. So I thought it would be appropriate to dedicate the first episode to our fears and how to overcome them. Listen to it here or watch it on YouTube 😉

Let's start with Resources 👩‍💻

Yes, we are mentioning it again, but check out this impromptu video of Masha announcing the release and to answer some questions about the Podcast! And of course be sure to let us know if you have any ideas/comments!

Sara says:
Certain subjects are banned from conversations in the workplace. The question of remuneration is particularly kept secret here in France. Here is a list of some platforms to help you compare salaries. Hopefully, it will help you talk more freely about salary, so it could benefit especially the juniors.

Sara says:
Ah! The famous stand-ups! The daily meetings you have with your team to talk about what you did the day before and what you are planning to do today. An important step if your team is following the Agile methodology.
The issue that can happen when you have to talk during a stand-up is either you have nothing to say, and you could look like you didn’t do any work. Or you could talk too much when it’s not the purpose of a stand-up. I have a few years of experience with stand-ups. I’ll give you some tips to help you be efficient and not look like a fool.

Time for Celebrations! 🥂🎉

Megan is going through medical school during her THIRD pregnancy!!!
Excerpt from IG:
So, as grateful as I am that women in medicine in recent decades have transcended many limitations, medical school, residency and medicine are not places of equity yet. And I am not one to merely sit still after a comment that is such a clear dismissal of my agency over my own success in this space. And I didn’t come here to do the minimum, simply despite my other responsibilities. I came here to thrive. And I deserve to be here. Learn more here

Kate is celebrating Space Week!

Happy PA week from my partner in crime and I - the yin to my yang ☯️

Excerpt from IG for Day 2 of the challenge:
I treat my PhD like a job, because in my opinion it is a job (I get paid to do research and I’m part of a team). While yes on paper I’m a student but a PhD is really a training programme to become a researcher a bit like an apprenticeship really (or at least that’s how I see it) ☺️

My spin on todays prompt is going to be my pros and cons for doing a PhD Learn more here

Please let us know your thoughts in the comments below and if you’d like to share something for next week’s issue, here’s the submission form! Bookmark that and add anything you’d like to share in there 🙂
