This newsletter is one of our favorite ways to share Amber Oaks Ranch's experiences, but sometimes when we sit down to decide what to include in our next newsletter, we're stumped. In sharing our routine daily experiences with you, we often feel that we repeat ourselves again and again.

I've been set straight each time I've expressed this sentiment to customers at various markets - apparently what is routine to us can be very entertaining to you. 😊 One comment in particular caught my attention – a few years back, I regularly featured a “Farm Animal of the Month” and this customer missed reading about those animals that made an impression on us here at the ranch.

So without further ado, let me introduce October's Farm Animal of the Month…

The midget white is a heritage breed and will reproduce naturally. Midges are friendly, curious, and follow us around the yard like puppies.  Folks always say turkeys are not that intelligent and I disagree. They have the mindset of puppies and live RIGHT THERE in that moment. Our birds free-range during the day and go into their own coop at night-sometimes voluntarily, sometimes we "herd" them.

Here are a few of our 2020 Farm Animals of the Month
