October is a big month in the creative world. I love seeing all of the art challenges and prompts that are out there this month. But something I've heard recently is that having so much inspiration can feel overwhelming sometimes. So in this week's #CreateWithCatCoq challenge, we're going to keep it simple. 

 

As I was looking through the #CreateWithCatCoq submissions the other day, the ones that were popping out at me were the amazing hand-lettered quotes. You can feel how personal they are even through the screen. Words are powerful, which is why they are so popular in modern illustration. This community is full of so many incredible people, and I just love feeling inspired by your words and your art.

 

This week's #CreateWithCatCoq challenge is to create a hand-lettered piece inspired by your favorite quote or words of wisdom. 

Wondering where to start with hand lettering? Check out my new blog post, The Guide to Hand-Lettering in Procreate. Even if you use a different medium than Procreate, this class will teach you the fundamentals of hand lettering that you can use to bring your words to life.
