GREAT NEWS FOR DR. WANG'S STUDENTS!

39 students and one graduate teaching assistant for our new THEM faculty member, Dr. Yao-Chin Wang, have received the Certification in Hotel Industry Analytics (CHIA). CHIA, offered jointly by STR and the American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute, is the leading certification in hotel analytics. 

 

The CHIA certification has been received by over 20,000 students, professors, and industry professionals. Congratulations to Dr. Wang for his excellent teaching and to the 40 students for this incredible achievement!

Through experiential learning opportunities, student volunteers assisted in a research project and data collection regarding visitors' experiences during their stay at the new Hotel ELEO in Gainesville. This data, along with social media reviews of Gainesville hotels, will be analyzed by THEM students in courses within the Artificial Intelligence and Data Analytics in Tourism, Hospitality, & Event Management undergraduate certificate program. THEM faculty are grateful for the support of these student volunteers.
