The MOOD this week — TREATS, no tricks. |

According to philosopher Simon Critchley, “ David Bowie was the greatest artist in any medium from the 1970s onwards” — and hey, who am I to argue with that? Critchley authored the 2014 book Bowie, described as a “concise and engaging excursion” into the musician's repertoire. |

I call the pieces chooky (chic + spooky) — yes, I just made that up, and yes, it will be a thing this Halloween season. |

Dori Greenspan is a baking legend – James Beard Award-winning, NYT best-selling – and an all around lovely human. (And as if she is not prolific enough, check out her newsletter xoxo Dorie for tips, tricks and behind-the-scenes scoops on her process). |

I so love the feeling of being swaddled in a jumpsuit. My personal preferred brands include the chef wear company Tilit and the pricier-but-worth-it, Rachel Comey — this one in particular feels very much in the MOOD. However, my current obsession is Rivet Utility. I have just purchased my first jumpsuit in, wait for it... corduroy. I don’t think anyone will notice when I outfit repeat, right? Pro-tip: If you are having trouble with sizing, DM Daun @rivetutility, Rivet's sparkly Founder and CEO on Instagram. |

Have I mentioned I like chocolate? L.A. Burdick does a sinfully tempting Chocolate Ghost, which is the perfect host/hostess gift for October. The ghosts are nestled in a tiny coffin shaped box. Yes, you read that correctly; and I would be remiss if I did not mention Burdick's signature (& adorable) Chocolate Mice. Don't expect these in your trick-or-treat bags, kiddos. They will be long gone by then. |
