5
things you can get rid of today without emotional baggage!
#1-Anything stained or torn beyond repair.
Yes, there is space for a small pile of clothing you can garden in, paint in or wash the car.
BUT-it needs to be out of the way of you getting ready every morning!
The more you rifle through things that you can't wear, the more frustrated you will become. You know what happens next? Giving up!
#2 All the freebies

All the hats, totes, and T-shirts that are hanging around. The freebies you pick up at fun runs, trade shows.

If they are that meaningful, consider making them into a quilt.

As always, if it's not frustrating you mentally, spatially or financially-keep it!
But if it is causing you angst, think about moving it along. Repurpose in to dust rags/car wash cloths or donate if they are in good enough shape to be resold.
#3 Gifted clothing

The gag gift T-shirts, ugly Christmas sweaters
(do you need 7 of them?) the vacation sweatshirt you aunt gave you 10 years ago?
If you're not wearing it-move it along!
Some of these are fun to have-IF YOU ARE USING THEM!!
If you are not, I think you may know the answer. 🙂
#4 Clothing with tags

Not the thing you bought for the event that hasn't happened yet…it's the things that you usually bought on sale, doesn't integrate well with your wardrobe, doesn't fit right.
And now you feel guilty you wasted the money…guilt doesn't do anyone any good!
Google local donation centers in your area that are serving the local community.
What is causing chaos for you can be a blessing for someone else!
#5 Unworn Clothing

Sounds like a no brainer, but what I'm talking about is the things in your closet that you talked yourself into keeping last time you clenaed things out.

Grab the first 5 things in your closet that you know you should've already let go!
I believe that there is a place for memories
(I'm talking to you 1992 Duran Duran Tshirt!).
Can you fold it nicely and put it on a high shelf so you smile everytime you walk into your closet?

I also believe that you can have clothing you may not be able to wear right now-Hello next goal!

BUT YOU NEED TO MOVE THAT OUT OF THE SPACE WHERE YOU CHOOSE TO GET DRESSED!!

Sorry, all caps was a bit much, but at least I made my point.

Setting up your closet so you can see and access what fits you right now is THE BEST way to start your day feeling
 confident and beautiful.
If you're ready for a deeper dive, give me a call and we can figure out your next steps.

xo, Monika
