Watercolor is my favorite medium for so many reasons. I love how fluid and playful the painting process is. The paint blooms and flows in interesting ways, and there is always something delightfully unexpected when it dries. 

 

This may make watercolor seem intimidating, but I personally think it’s what makes this medium so beautiful.

 

If you're feeling intimidated by watercolor, I want to challenge you to embrace the medium and dive on in. One of the things that holds watercolor beginners back is the fear of making a mistake while they're working. 

 

Let's be real, mistakes are inevitable as you're working in watercolor. But I don't want to let that keep you from painting! I whipped up a quick blog post with all of the techniques you need to fix watercolor mistakes as you're working. I hope that this helps you feel more confident with watercolor! 

 

Don't let the fear of imperfection keep you from creating. If I had waited until my work felt "perfect" before starting CatCoq, I wouldn't have the creative business that I do today. I want to encourage you to just start. You'll never know where it might lead you.
