💜  Keep calm and carry on 💜

Need a pick-me-up? Brighten your own day, and send yourself some flowers. These Farmgirl Flowers signature bouquets come wrapped in simple burlap and are seriously swoonable. If you are more of a roses person, Ode à la Rose has your number.

About 4,000 pandemic cocktails later, I started to wonder if my alcohol consumption habits needed a tweak. So I downloaded the Reframe app, which uses neuroscience to help you understand and (if you want) change the way alcohol shows up in your life. Curious? Give it a whirl.

Were there too many awkward conversations over the holidays? Actually Curious card games to the rescue. Choose between a few different editions like the icebreaker, happy hour, culture, there is even a human rights version. The point of these games is not to win but to be real, listen, and have some fun. Slip a pack in your bag for the next family reunion and begone awkward silences.

In March 2020, I got a Fit Bit Charge and stomped out 15,000 steps a day. (Pats herself on back.) I recently upgraded to the Fit Bit Charge 5 and lowered my step count to 10,000. (I needed a break.) While it isn’t the most chic accessory, it’s a reminder to keep moving and I’m grateful for that.

I recently visited the buzzy Madhappy SoHo pop-up to hunt down gifts for some cool kids. Perusing the store, I fell for the colorful oversized style and really dug the brand’s mission statement: “The beauty of Madhappy is that each person can have their own interpretation of it. It’s about the ups and downs and everything in between.” Yes, please.

Every year I donate to the New York Times Neediest Cases Fund. Established in 1911, the fund has donated over $320 million directly to New Yorkers (and beyond) who are struggling. As part of the project, NYT creates profiles of people and families, highlighting how donations both small and large are used.
Hurry! The campaign only runs through the end of the year.

See you in 2022. 💋
