Hi friends!

Think of your favorite celebrity right now.

Did you know, while you do that, certain areas of your brain will light up? Those areas get activated when you think of someone you are familiar with but don't really know. Now, try to see yourself in your mind in 10 years. Guess what? The same areas in your brain would light up.

Yes, the areas that concern strangers!

Studies have proved this future-self problem; it is easy for us to imagine our next year's birthday and the birthday after that, but fast forward a few years, and the details become hazy. We don't feel connected to our future selves. We don't save enough money for retirement, and we sometimes make poor health choices because that stranger is not our concern right now.

That is why connecting with our future selves will be one of the steps in my upcoming workshop, "Plan and Achieve Your 2022 Goals".  When we feel connected to that person and her well-being, we will set more meaningful goals and make better choices today.

The seats in my workshop are filling up with the most amazing people. Registration will be open till Friday the 26th of November; join us by adding your info in the pink link below to get the payment options (CliQ in Jordan is the easiest and PayPal for friends outside Jordan).

If you don't plan to join this time, I will miss you! Would you please still forward the details of the workshop to people in your life who you would think benefit from it?

I'd appreciate that a lot.

Any questions? Simply reply to this email and I'll get back to you the soonest.

Here is your weekly dose of The Sunday Spark ⚡️ a newsletter listing 5 inspiring things I thought were worth starting your week with:
  1. Watch "The Future Self Project" done at Stanford University by Professor Hal Hershfield.
  2. He also did a wonderful 11-minute TED talk about how we view our future selves.
  3. Read: Single-tasking: How to focus on one thing at a time, get more done, and feel less stressed,
  4. I use RescueTime  app to track my worktime productivity, their desktop integration is very helpful.
  5. Homer said it best:
Marge: You know, someday these kids will be out of the house
and you’ll regret not spending more time with them.
Homer: That’s a problem for future Homer.
Man, I don’t envy that guy.
