Hey guys, Dave here.

It pains me to send this, but we won’t have your sheepskin slippers in time for Christmas. If you want to cancel your order then we want to give you your money back for the slippers you paid for so you still have time to get a gift to put under the tree. Please email customer service right away at ihaveaquestion@saddlebackleather.com and put SLIPPER REFUND in the subject line so we can cancel your order and get that out to you. I’m also going to send you a $50 gift certificate whether you cancel your order or not because I let you down and inconvenienced you so much. Be on the lookout because it will be in your inbox Monday.

I am so embarrassed I wasn’t able to get these to you before Christmas like I said I would. About 300 sheepskin slippers are planned to arrive at our Fort Worth warehouse on December 27th and the next shipment to finish the orders on January 7th. But they won’t be there for Christmas so I will just give you a full refund if you don’t want to wait. If you don’t mind waiting a couple of extra weeks, print this photo out to place under the tree and let them know their gift is coming, but it’s running behind.

If you’d like a bit of backstory on where things went awry, read on. We found an American sheepskin tannery, here in the USA. While we hadn’t worked with them before we trusted them to come through for us and deliver. The first shipment of sheepskin was hung up for a long time waiting for the USDA certification that Mexico customs requires to import the sheepskin. Once it was cleared and the sheepskin arrived to Leon, it was the wrong length of hair. So, they worked through and shipped another truck of sheepskin to the border, but had to wait again for the USDA certification. The truck is currently in Laredo, Texas waiting to clear customs and we should start making them on December 15th or 16th.

Please accept my sincere apologies. I ask that you forgive me.

Sincerely,

Dave Munson
