Hi friends!
I felt bliss going back to my regular morning routine last week after the satisfaction of launching my first goal-setting workshop. It was a fully-packed week too. I attended the first Christmas play for my son and celebrated my daughter’s 8th Birthday. I received Brene Brown’s latest book, my journal, and planners for next year, and I gifted my daughter her first daily journal, but with no signs of enthusiasm just yet 😅. I felt so much joy giving a 90-minute session on Goal-Setting to over 200 of the global employees of MS Pharma. Many asked excellent questions at the end 👏 .
My evenings have been fully occupied with the ups and downs of helping my daughter study for the mid-year assessments. We are doing much better than last year, but we still lose it on each other sometimes, and we try our best to quickly make amends after. After getting done with assessments this week, I will have one more magical Saturday (what I call Saturdays when kids are safe and sound at school) before the 40-day winter break starts and I will use it to meet a dear friend for the first time. Speaking of which, I was thrilled to meet three people I've known online for the first time over the past weekend (Hi Natasha, Tareq, and Wafaa).
Gretchen Rubin says: “The days are long, but the years are short.” And this is how I felt when I started reviewing my past year in 30-minute chunks. Some events felt like they happened ages ago, and others just yesterday.
Have you started your annual review? You can do that gradually, in 15-min chunks, by simply checking your social media posts or stories in the Archive feature on Instagram if you have one. Write the wins and challenges of the past year to learn from them and to inspire your goals for next year. You can do this! And remember, reviewing the past is the starting point to set meaningful goals.
Keep an eye on my newsletter next week for the details of the Goal-Setting workshop in early January and tell your friends about it.
