Hey there First name / friend,

Tiffany came to Cincinnati this week and we all had such a nice time visiting each other!

Although it was only 3 short days, they were full of re-recording The Studio Building Masterplan, traveling to Cleveland, a photo shoot, talking up a storm and many delicious meals. ❤️

The trip reminded us, yet again, of the value of collaboration, friendship, and feeling supported in bringing your ideas to life. Because of the perceived competitive nature of classical music, it’s tempting to isolate yourself. We’ve heard so many students and colleagues talk about needing to figure it out or do it alone. But, we are certain that isn’t true.

We always joke when we’re engaging in some serious teamwork that 1+1 does not equal 2. 1+1 equals 100. We feel this deeply: if you want to achieve something, surround yourself with people that will push you to evolve and believe in what you have to offer. We’d of course by lying if we said it still wasn’t hard - this week, both Ixi and Tiffany still had to fight past some resistance to press that record button. But when you can remind each other why you’re doing this, remind each other that it’s the perfectionism talking, the resistance is easier to push through.

You are on this email list because you believe more is possible. Maybe you joined because of a clarinet freebie, or bought one of our courses, or joined a free workshop at some point. We know there are dreams and wishes inside of that head of yours to win a job, live a satisfying life, or start something incredible.

That’s us, too. We want to grow Music360, help all of you in more ways than we can even imagine at the moment, and make a big, lasting impact.

We've found that if you want the best chance to figure out your dreams, build a nourishing environment around you.

That means finding your tribe. Maybe you’ve heard that quote that you’re the average of the 5 people you spend the most time with. Researcher David Burkus says it’s way bigger than that. “I found that you are indeed influenced by the people around you. But that influence doesn’t stop anywhere near the five people you spend the most time with. It’s far more dispersed and research suggests it includes people you haven’t even met yet.” Go find people that believe in big things and possibility. Never hesitate to tell people your ideas, no matter how crazy you think they sound. Take risks and surround yourself with people that will help you dust off and pivot if things don't go as planned.

With all of that said, we want to give you a gift. 🎁 We’re offering free 15-minute slots so you can verbalize an idea, get help with a problem (articulation to resumes) or idea (projects or collaborations), ask our advice, or just say hi. You are the reason we do this, and getting to know you is just the best.

We are all available at different times, so click on the calendars to find a time that works for you! If we run out of slots, we will find a time for more.

Have an amazing week and thanks for being a part of this tribe!

To being better together,
Ixi, Tiffany & Ted
