Hey First name / friend,
Did you get my notice about the newly updated PG version of Girl in the Dark? If not, you can find it in the
Digital Book Club archive!
This week, I'm gonna talk about something a little different.
Lots of book-related art has been popping up on Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok, especially among fans of the young adult genre. Most of the artists featured have a highly realistic painted fantasy style.
I want to introduce you to a super talented fantasy artist who also happens to be my friend and collaborator: Imber Rose! The art at the top of this email is hers, and so is the poster below featuring her upcoming short story, The Frostwood Horror.
I met Imber through two mutual friends and we immediately hit it off. The very first time we met in person, she gave me a stuffed raccoon and stickers, and I knew she would be one of my favorite people. It turns out that we love building fictional universes! And guys, her worldbuilding is SO GOOD. Like, genuinely unbelievable. Her character dynamics are so complex, and the details of each scene and universe is so incredibly detailed. It's obvious from her writing that she's an artist, because she makes you visualize the scene and characters so vividly as you read. It's phenomenal.
Like I've said before, I don't offer editing or other author services for free, ever. Except to her! I believe in her writing so much that I edit her short stories for free because they are just THAT GOOD and I want everyone else to love them too.
When she's not writing, Imber Rose creates original art for her fictional universes and characters and posts it on her
Instagram and
Patreon.
Her art style is so cute and colorful and evocative! It's refreshingly different from the typical โtrendyโ art I see on social media.
Imber also shares her short stories on Patreon for the INSANELY LOW PRICE of $3/month. She posts on it at least once a week, but usually more, with incredibly fun, heartfelt, and fascinating updates on her work. I get SO excited when I see she's published a new update, and I know you'd love her Patreon content too. At that price, you'd be crazy not to check it out!
I really believe in her art and writing, and I want to help her make a career out of her creativity. She's so talented that I'm even going to collaborate with her on a future series.
So, as a personal favor to me, would you consider skipping a single cup of Starbucks or Dunkin' Donuts this month to become one of Imber's patrons? If you become her patron, email me a screenshot of your Patreon feed and I'll send you a link to download my beloved Miles & Breaker trilogy of ebooks for free ๐
Her goal is to hit 10 patrons, and I want to make that happen THIS WEEK! Please help!
