Dear friends,

Merry Christmas to all of you celebrating it. The week between Christmas and the New Year has been a favorite of mine for a few years. I try my best to take a vacation and do my annual review and goals preparation as a way to transition into the new year like I did last year in the picture below:

A snapshot from my annual review ritual last year, yes I brought my candle with me

This year, however, I decided to start my annual review earlier which is a good thing because this week feels busier than usual, especially that I did not manage my vacations well enough to take the whole week off.

I would like to remind you that registration for my January Plan and Achieve your 2022 Goals workshop ends on December 31st, 2021. Can't wait to see you on the inside. We will have 3 sessions together on the 3rd,4th, and 17th of January 2022, Register and find the details by clicking on the big hot pink link to book your spot and pay.

If you have any questions about the workshop, please reply to this email and ask. Iā€™d love to have you in there.

Here is your weekly dose of The Sunday Spark āš”ļø a newsletter listing 5 inspiring things I thought were worth starting your week with:
  1. Tracking your time is the first step to optimize your time, that's why I love timers so much and recommend this upcoming time tracking challenge by Laura Vanderkam.
  2. If you're not joining my upcoming goal-setting workshop, here is a 2.5-minute video on how to make New Yearā€™s resolutions like a pro from Daniel H. Pink.
  3. Hereā€™s How to Ensure Your Kids Donā€™t Spend the Entire Break Staring at Screens. I will try the strategies in this article for the long winter break ahead.
  4. Turning decluttering into a habit has been surfacing as a personal goal for me in the new year. A very helpful podcast about that by Allie Casazza: The Deep inner work that comes with decluttering. She also says today December 26th is the best day for decluttering and here is why.
  5. A quote about the difference between vague and specific goals:
"VAGUE GOAL: I hope to build my business this year. CLEAR-CUT GOAL: I will increase revenues by at least 15% by the end of this year. VAGUE GOAL: I will try to reduce my debt and start managing my finances better. CLEAR-CUT GOAL: I will make a weekly budget and pay down $200 of my debt each month. VAGUE GOAL: I want to be a good parent. CLEAR-CUT GOAL: I will make time to read to my children at least three nights per week for twenty minutes. VAGUE GOAL: I want to exercise more this year. CLEAR-CUT GOAL: I will stretch and practice yoga three times per week to maintain a strong and healthy body."
