Congratulations, you have made it through another year in this crazy world we live in today! Through all the uncertainty that is our day to day life, one thing is for sure: You made it, and you should be PROUD of yourself!
It is this time of year I like to reflect on the growth I have made in 2021, and things I would like to work on in 2022. I am (to say the least) a dreamer, and an extremely visual person. Last year, I decided to take a different approach to making New Year's Resolutions (that I almost NEVER actually followed through with). I decided instead to be a realist, and make my New Years resolution something a little more…attainable. After a year of trial, I want to introduce YOU to the Word of the Year.
We all say we are going to start going to the gym Jan 1st. We are going to eat healthier. Make more money. The list can go on, and on, and on. However, these items are easy to slip up on because falling out of these habits is contagious. Yet, a word of the year isn’t measured by a number on a scale, or a bank statement. A word of the year comes from a feeling inside of YOU. A compilation of your experiences and memories from the year that exhibit simply one word.
Last year, my word of the year was passion. Every day, I woke up and decided I wanted to lead with this word. I wanted to romanticize my life with the use of this word. Actions I took all lined up with this word. It wasn’t easy for me to just leave this word behind like a regular New Years resolution. Which is why I feel it is important to share this new take on New Years with you.
