“Do not try to save
the whole world
or do anything grandiose.
Instead, create
a clearing
in the dense forest
of your life
and wait there
patiently,
until the song
that is yours alone to sing
falls into your open cupped hands
and you recognize and greet it.
Only then will you know
how to give yourself
to this world so worthy of rescue.”
Martha Postlethwaite
Have you ever found a soft meadow and laid on your back? Felt the soft earth underneath your head. The grass slightly cold on your cheek. Or have you heard the crickets' evening song drift through your window? For a moment making the invisible tapestry of life visible. In these sacred moments we connect to being alive. All barriers between you and the universe cease. An awe comes over as you realize the vibrating beauty inside and out.

I am peace.
I am not separate.
I am vibrating with the symphony of life.

We need this extraordinary gratitude and love right now. To momentarily release the perils of our world and see what is right under our nose. Let's collect these moments of magic; they leave you more buoyed in everyday life.

Breathe, soften your shoulders, settle.

I am practicing this moment to moment as I navigate the world news, the uncertainty of pandemic vs. endemic, and the heartache of suffering. This is a way to care for my nervous system. We don't know what the future holds, nor can we pretend or turn away from the pain. This is stressful. Yet the world needs us right now, the universal symphony of life needs us to harmonize ease and love. So let each moment wash over you as a gift from the mysterious and universal source of love.

We are here. Now.
In this skin
Leaning on this skeleton.

Light
Unburdened.

Soften your heart
Breathe in the trees,
 Exhale love.

With Compassion,
Ellen

I would love to practice with you.
