THE WEEKLY GOOSE

NO: 048 |  01.12.2022
Good morning!

Did you know? Canada has the world’s smallest jail. Located in Rodney, Ontario, it’s only 24.3 square metres (270 square feet). Sounds like a million-dollar apartment in Toronto, no?

Well, as always, Covid is dominating the news. However, this time, we can say that Omicron is really spreading fast. Thankfully, it's a much milder form of the virus and despite it infecting many people we know, as well as ourselves, we're all okay and back to normal now.

But enough with that. Let's enjoy the 48th edition of The Weekly Goose, which features a video about Halifax, a new travel guide for Niagara Falls, and more!

BEAVER BITES

  • I've always found it quite unique that my dad grew up in Canada with no running water or electricity. This is because he grew up in a small fishing outport in Newfoundland. His stories are so different from mine so I helped him organize them into a book called Growing Up in Deer Harbour. It's available in paperback or as an ebook.

  • It's certainly not over. Even more flights are being cancelled for the upcoming months, including Transat, which will be cutting around 30% of its flights due to Omicron.

  • Here's something you don't see everyday. Canada deemed high risk when it comes to travel. What the hell, omicron!

  • Animals can laugh! Can you imagine tickling a mouse?
