This word, respair, isn't new.
Dating back to the about the 1400s, it has resurfaced and describes what most of us crave since the onset of a global pandemic.
I wonder though, was the hunger for this simmering below the surface before COVID-19? The need simply pushed to the surface in ways difficult to dismiss or no longer able to ignore?
Symptoms such as lack of clear communication, expectations, direction, and meaning in the work has intensified under the pressures of the pandemic. For many these are not entirely new dynamics teams are wrestling with, they lingered pre-pandemic. But once you know, you can't unknow. Awareness of need brings opportunity to respond.
