Yarrow Sew-Along: Week 1
Image item

Hello First name / there,
Welcome to Week 1 of the Yarrow Wristlet & Pouch Sew-Along! I'm so excited to have you join along!

I put together a video that discusses fabric selection, cutting & fusing. We also make the Strap Holder & Wrist Strap. I hope you'll find the video helpful (scroll down for the link).

Here's the schedule I'll be following for the sew-along:
Week 1: January 27th (today), fabric selection, cutting & fusing, sewing the Strap Holder and Wrist Strap
Week 2: February 3rd, making the pockets/linings
Week 3: February 10th, installing the zipper!, link wrap up and any loose ends!

I think this schedule should allow for plenty of catch up time if you miss a week. Don't feel pressured to rush along! But if you're cruising along and having fun feel free to go at your own pace, too. No rules here!

In the video I do an overview and project discussion. I also talk about fabric selection, cutting & interfacing, and then make the Strap Holder and Wrist Strap. Cutting measurements and cutting layouts are found on pages 3-4 of the Yarrow PDF. Don't forget to use the label sheet (there's one sheet for metric and one for imperial measurements) to help keep you organized! I've also included printable paper templates for the rectangular pieces if you prefer to work that way.

After this week you should have all the pieces cut and the interfacing fused to all corresponding pieces and the Strap Holder and Wrist Strap made. Yay!
