Hi friends,

First off, let me remind you that it’s time for your first monthly review of the year! If you do it this week, then you will want to do it again at the end of Feb, then March and so on. Why not start this helpful habit now? I said it before, and I'm saying it again: Weekly reviews help you do quick monthly reviews. Monthly reviews make quarterly reviews easier, and quarterly reviews prepare you for the annual review. Will you consider it First name / my dear friend? Go ahead and do your January's review by answering as many questions as you like from this post.

The highlights of my week were experiencing proper snow with my kids for the first time, and completing my Journaling Workshop yesterday with wonderful inquisitive attendees. It is a topic that is so close to my heart, and I learned so much more about it as I was preparing for the workshop. Here is a picture of my desk the day after. The pink cover is there to help reduce the echo from the wood surface of my desk.

My desk, the morning after the Journaling Workshop

I wanted to talk more to you today, however, my Sunday was spent with my husband’s family as they were processing the loss of his dear cousin. Please pray for his family.

Here is your weekly dose of The Sunday Spark ⚡️ a newsletter listing 5 inspiring things I thought were worth starting your week with:
  1. The official Miracle Morning app was released a couple of weeks ago. It is 4.99$, and I plan to try it for a while. Here is the IOS version and the Android version.
  2. I'm not doing goal-setting workshops soon but still reading about it. I really admire this article by Scott Young: The Science of Achievement: 7 Research-Backed Tips to Set Better Goals which aligns with many of the teachings I shared in my past 2 workshops.
  3. This Instagram post is a beautiful illustrated summary of Susan David's book Emotional Agility.
  4. A new book is coming out this week by Dan Pink, and it speaks about one of the tough experiences we humans go through and how we can transcend it: The Power of Regret.
  5. Reading this quote gives me so much hope and feelings of trust
"Your abilities, your intelligence, your talents, your personality, your circumstances, your dreams will all come together in a beautiful pattern. And you will see all this as your calling—a calling back and forth, in continuous song, from your heart to the universe and from the universe back to you."
― Marianne Williamson, A Year of Miracles
